In "Images of Women" from the Elisabeth Dean Collection of French Prints, work by Toulouse- Lautrec and Maurice Denis explores the theme at the beginning of the 20th century. And in a collaborative effort titled "Women of Influence: The Journal Project," 12 women created visual records of their lives, including Susan Shie's elaborate quilt titled "The Blender/Temperance," about how the women in her family hold it together.
