Mayor Michael Coleman wants construction to begin in 2010 on the projected $103 million project so the streetcar line could be operating by the city's bicentennial celebration in 2012. To get there, the administration will need to approve $2 million for design and engineering work as well as legislation to OK some of the financing plan unveiled by the mayor's Streetcar Working Group.
