    Included in the exhibit is work by the four men who are credited with bringing ceramics into the national fine-art conversation: Rudy Autio, Peter Voulkos, David Shaner and Pete Meloy ... Meloy, Voulkos, Rudy Autio and David Shaner are pretty much the grandfathers of the current movement and all that has happened not just here but nationally and so I wanted to include their work, as well as the work of people who have come since then.     Along with her husband, the late Robert DeWeese, a former ceramics professor at MSU-Bozeman, DeWeese influenced many contemporary Montana artists who attended the university in the 1950s and 60s, among them Rudy Autio and Pete Voulkos, who were the very first resident artists of the Archie Bray Foundation.
